SwiftLink® SABR* Overview

Secure and reliable communications are vital to small, agile, and mobile units in many fields of operation; military deployments, first responder incidents, and business continuity needs. The SwiftLink® SABR family of solutions has been specifically designed to address the demanding need for classified access or clear channel access to voice, video, and data via a compact, portable, easily-assembled remote system. SABR provides the rapid communications capability you require using an Everything-over-IP (EoIP) architecture.  

Flexible SABR configurations, with plug-and-play interoperability, can be built using: 

• 3 VSAT terminals supporting four operating frequencies (Ka, Ku, X, C )
• 4 satellite modems
• 4 baseband packages

SABR VSAT Overview

The SwiftLink SABR multi-band, multi-aperture terminals are a family of versatile VSAT solutions built with the best-of-breed components industry has to offer. The SABR family of VSAT Solutions enables comms-at-the-quick-halt via three different SATCOM terminals, and four different operating frequencies - Ku, Ka, X and C-band.

The SwiftLink® SABR 1.2M VSAT is a multi-band field-upgradeable VSAT antenna that supports Ku, Ka, and X-bands with a simple swap of the feed-boom assembly offering the user unique operating flexibility. The SwiftLink SABR 1.2M antenna interoperates with four different baseband network packages giving users a range of options in form-factors and communication capabilities.

The SwiftLink® SABR 2.0M VSAT antenna is a multi-band field-upgradeable VSAT that supports Ku, Ka, X and C-bands and offers the user unique operating flexibility. The SwiftLink SABR 2.0M interoperates with four different baseband network packages – the SwiftLink SABR 2710, 2720, 2730, and the 2740.  

The SwiftLink® SABR 2.4M VSAT antenna supports Ku, Ka, X and C-bands and offers the user unique operating flexibility. Its ease of use and operating range accommodates any harsh environment - from disaster-recovery missions to desert conditions. The SwiftLink SABR 2.4M interoperates with four different baseband network packages – the SwiftLink SABR 2710, 2720, 2730, and the 2740. 

SABR Baseband Overview

The SwiftLink SABR modem-equipped VSAT terminals may be further combined with any of four different baseband kits - the SwiftLink SABR 2710, 2720, 2730, and 2740 – for a uniquely customized solution. Each baseband package is an integrated system of best-in-class IP routers, WAN accelerators and crypto units with EoIP (Everything-Over-IP) support for converged voice, video, and data applications.

The SwiftLink® SABR 2710 Rack-Mounted Transit Case is a ruggedized network package designed to support EoIP-based communications of converged voice, video, and data between the field access points and the network core.


The SwiftLink® SABR 2720 Embedded Network Package is compact, lightweight and delivers robust communications capabilities in a small footprint built with the best-of-breed components that the industry has to offer.


The SwiftLink® SABR 2730 Micro Network Package is the lightest network package in the SABR family. Its compact, modular packaging includes an optional Broadband Global Area Network (BGAN) flat panel antenna, supporting both red and black access for EoIP-based converged voice, video and data applications. 


The SwiftLink® SABR 2740 Stryper Network Package is a compact, modular network package designed to support converged EoIP-based  voice, video and data communications at various classification levels. The small-footprint platform fully leverages the performance and scalability of the COTS architecture to offer secure access to red, gray and black networks.
